چکیده
If physical activity is already systematically proposed as part of supportive care in localized cancer patients, the implementation for metastatic patients remains a challenge. QUALIOR 2-part, randomized, open-label, multicenter trial which aims to assess feasibility and efficacy supervised home-based SPA receiving oral targeted therapy (phase II: n=120; phase III: n=256). The results II study are presented here. Patients were randomized 2:1 ratio 3-month (experimental arm) or recommended adapted (control arm). was assessed using rate that participated adequately SPA. participation considered sufficient if 45 more performed at least 50% theoretically planned sessions within 3 months (i.e. one home session with sport specialized coach 2 non-supervised per week). Efficacy endpoint fatigue FACT-F questionnaire baseline, every month during then first year follow-up. analysis an intent-to-treat (ITT) analysis. Between 2017 2020, 129 randomized. Among 112 ITT population (74 arm 38 control arm), mean age 59 (sd 13) main site breast (n=64, 57%). Targeted associated hormone-therapy (61%) arm, versus 17 (45%) arm. In sessions, 27 (36%) less than only did not perform any activity. One hundred (89%) completed baseline questionnaire. At 3-month, scores 38.8 10) 36.7 respectively. showed feasible among treated therapy. still ongoing.

Enhancing physical activity in older adults receiving hospital based rehabilitation: a phase II feasibility study
BACKGROUND Older adults receiving inpatient rehabilitation have low activity levels and poor mobility outcomes. Increased physical activity may improve mobility. The objective of this Phase II study was to evaluate the feasibility of a randomized controlled trial (RCT) of enhanced physical activity in older adults receiving rehabilitation. METHODS Patients admitted to aged care rehabilitation...

PURPOSE The efficacy of a home-based physical activity (PA) intervention for early-stage breast cancer patients was evaluated in a randomized controlled trial. PATIENTS AND METHODS Eighty-six sedentary women (mean age, 53.14 years; standard deviation, 9.70 years) who had completed treatment for stage 0 to II breast cancer were randomly assigned to a PA or contact control group. Participants i...

Purpose: Antiproliferative and antiosteoclastic activity from preclinical models show potential for dasatinib, an oral SRC and SRC family kinase inhibitor, as a targeted therapy for patients with prostate cancer. This phase II study investigated the activity of dasatinib in patients with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC). Experimental Design: Chemotherapy-naive men with CRP...
متن کاملA Phase II Study of Everolimus Plus Oral Prednisone in Patients with Metastatic Renal Cell Cancer
LESSONS LEARNED The combination of everolimus and low-dose prednisone administered daily was hypothesized to prevent noninfectious pneumonitis (NIP) and mucositis, two common adverse events related to everolimus. Although mucositis was detected in only one case, all-grade NIP occurred in four of eight cases (50%), and this was considered enough to stop accrual of the study. These data suggest th...
